Value Story

A Value Story provides the foundation for many of our other services. In a nutshell, our Value Story can be described as an enhanced valuation that clearly and convincingly communicates the value of an asset (or company) to stakeholders. It generally comprises a clinical assessment of the asset (e.g., a drug), the generation of a target product profile (TPP), a financial valuation, a high-level pharmacoeconomic analysis (pricing), and a commercial assessment. Many clients choose to complement the Value Story with Primary Market Research (see below). It is worth mentioning that our team of financial modelers has exceptional experience even with highly complex scenarios, such as the valuation of option deals.

Primary Market Research

A major challenge for innovative first-in-class drugs, novel medical devices or diagnostics, and new treatment regimens is the uncertainty regarding the potential market uptake and pricing/reimbursement. We offer primary market research, including interviews with key opinion leaders and payor organizations in all countries. All interviews with medical personnel are conducted by our medical doctors. Our interviews as well as all market research may be performed in English, German, Spanish, or Italian. For other languages, we cooperate with local organizations. The output of our market research provides you with valuable information regarding an asset’s pricing, reimbursement, delivery, and expected market share. The market and patient environment can vary highly between countries, even within Europe.

Competitive Intelligence

We have collaborated with many of the world’s most innovative life sciences companies and maintain close connections with leading academic institutions. In addition, we have access to all major industry-relevant databases. This puts us in an enviable position when it comes to Competitive Intelligence. We can analyze the competitive landscape for technologies, targets, indications, and patient subpopulations – both from a macro-perspective (trends) and on a micro level in every detail. This helps you avoid competitors or adapt your marketing strategy.

International Product Adaptation

Health systems vary considerably across the globe. Even within Europe, they are highly heterogeneous concerning patient flow, insurance coverage, and even medical disciplines. We help you tailor your product to the health systems of the world. This may be of particular interest for non-conventional products, such as niche medical devices or complex treatment regimens.
